Fuck you iTunes!!!
Nov. 28th, 2007 02:31 pmARGH. FUCKING iTUNES!!! ALSKDLKSSLS. >(
I can't get the damn thing to READ Japanese or Chinese. It's not even the dreaded boxes, all the songs are like this --> ¦³¤F§A´N¨¬°÷ ¤ý¤O§»
I have East Asian languages installed. Firefox shows it fine. I can even type in Japanese. But it's just iTunes that's being a stubborn little fuck.
I've tried to change the Language for non-Unicode Progs to Japanese and that didn't help. I've tried converting the ID3 tags to a more recent version, nada.
Anyone have any suggestions? :( Should I reinstall iTunes and hope to god it works?
I'm so frustrated w/ it that I'm sorely tempted to start use another prog just to be able to see the language correctly even if I can't read it. But the thing is, I don't like Winamp (not as user friendly or something IMO) or WMP (too damn slow) so I'm stuck w/ iTunes. :|

Date: 2007-11-29 02:12 am (UTC)Unicode is probably best now because it supports all languages and things like BIG5 and J-SHIFT were hacks to allow Asian languages before there was a read standard.
If you want to you can use NJStar and do a lot of cut and pasting. :/
The other option, which is what I use because I'm lazy, is look up the album on yesasia.com. Find the album and switch the web page to either Chinese/Japanese and copy and paste the correctly appearing characters in iTunes.
Ether way it's a pain in the ass.

Date: 2007-11-29 05:43 am (UTC)My mom uses NJStar to type. XD But uhm...so basically if I do c/p the correct characs, iTunes will show it correctly instead of reverting back to symbols/boxes?
