Lolli Lolli Oh Lollipop

✿ So Halloween. This year, I decided to brave the chaos and potentially retina-damaging ass-less costumes that make up the West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval. My trusty sidekicks were silvernaofficer as Sexy No Jutsu!Bear Jew and Steph as an angel.

Let's see...
- Didn't get there until around 7:30 pm.
- Got lucky with finding FREE street parking. Booyah!
- Delicious dinner of panini portabella and a matcha latte at Urth Cafe.
- Off into the droves of people!
- Too many "My father didn't love me enough" costumes.
- It was almost like the dealer's hall at AX this year. Bons says it's almost like SDCC dealer's hall, but I wouldn't know, lol.
- I missed Prince Poppycock!!! DX
- Ben was taking forever to get back to me about where to meet up with him.
- Spotty reception was spotty.
- Gay gogo dancer can't dance. It was really awkward to watch. Neither can some stripper girl who came out of a huge Chinese takeout box.
- Ended up at the Troubadour. Haven't been there since Good Charlotte in my high days, omggg. I remember it being bigger. Maybe that bar wasn't there before...
- Had a total of 1 drink the entire night. Lameee.
- Found Ben and his friends. They're smashed, haha.
- Too much walkingggg.
- Got home around 1 am? Idk how I chatted a bit with konishii and Jav. Passed out at like 2 am?

I don't know if I'd go again. It was quite the experience - kind of was like a con meets Vegas strip minus the booze on the streets - but it wasn't anything amazing. Ah well. At least I can say I've gone once.

Anyway, after much deliberation, bluestraggler and I will be going to Fanime's Black and White Ball as Livonse and trap!Tieria respectively. XDDD Sadly, it's not that red halter dress. I'll just be wearing one of my (or my sister's) short black dresses from high school dances and his normal length hair. But it'll be fun and lulzy! 8D

This is all kind of playing it by ear because it's been hard to find a time that everyone's available, not to mention that I feel like I'm a failure at organizing things. .__.; I'll be in San Jose by 11 am so...maybe start meeting up around *edit* 2 to 3 pm? *edit* ravendarkwings said she'll scout for a good location on Thursday so I'll be texting/calling you guys with the final location either some time Thursday or Friday morning. Andddd I've asked evalime to take pics for us~

I'm also going to see if I can bug ziggybecket for a few night time shots so if you want in on that, call/text me in the evening as I don't know where I'll be either.

:: Man. Fuck the city of LA. >:( Since when did a meter expiration ticket cost $48!?!!?? I got there like 5 minutes too late. Guess they're pretty diligent. :\

:: On a lighter note. For some reason, Maxy, my kitty, ate a pad of butter that was on my plate of pancakes this morning. ^^; I don't know why he did...he never ate butter before. Only cream cheese, milk and once he ate turkey. XD

I have a pack of Surebonder's All Purpose Stik in uh...a size 10 (4" x 0.45"). It's too big for the glue gun I bought. :x

Sweatshop times with whitelilacs and Yoshiko today~ Made some progress...kinda. Lol. I got foiled in finishing Akizuki's top cuz the bias tape I had was too wide. And when we went to Jo-Ann's, it was closed. ^^; So yeah, I started on his hakama instead. Now let's hope I win this bidding on a white shirt dress so I can just modify the collar instead of making one from scratch.

Eesh, Jo-Ann trip tomorrow me thinks. For thinner bias tape and hopefully a suitable blue fabric for Farfie. :| But then again, I couldn't find something good in the Pasadena one so I dunno if going to another one would help...unless I go to the SUPERSTORE on in Northridge but ew that's like 20 mi away.

Anyone wanna make his top for me? I'll pay you in fooood and for the fabric~ I'm starting to doubt that I can finish everything in time now. :x

After dinner we found an old English telephone booth and proceeded to be dorks and started taking pics in it. Cept our cams fail at taking night shots and the lighting inside the booth was bad so no pics for you.
