Are narratives/artist statements ever not cheesy?

Project 2 done! \o/~ We had to cast two rings using the lost wax method and the pair needed to be a set while referencing a relationship or connection between the two or the subjects they symbolize. We also needed to write a short narrative to accompany said rings.

Oh god, my narrative's so dramatic. I dunno how it came out like that...not even sure if rings support it well enough. /embarassed

Some random doodle I did during today's critique in jewerly casting. I kinda like this androgynous elf person. 8D; Kinda looks a bit more feminine to me...but then again, my males tend to be pretty boys. X( Maybe I'll doodle him/her/it more, hmm...

The lighter shaded shapes around the eyes supposed to be eyeshadow btw. ^^;

Aaah, I kinda want Fanime to come later. Schoolwork + work + sewing is like...catching up to me. I think I'll finish all that's needed for the con, but ugh. It won't be too much fun.
