Lolli Lolli Oh Lollipop

I’ve always eyed the items that ModCloth offers, but told myself that I didn’t really need them, even though they were either a) pretty, b) cute, or c) made my vintage-dar tingle. But I somewhat caved in recently. Here are my spoils. I’m not 100% satisfied with it unfortunately.

I’ve been wanting a brightly colored bag for a while and saw this one. It looked a lot more salmon online, but in real life it takes on an almost Peptol Bismol pink in some lighting, i.e. the photo above. So I’m sitting on the fence with it at the moment. But I do love that print of London (I want to find an ornate frame for this to make up for it's diminutive size lol) and the shoes~

So, I guess I am now a convert to Harajuku Lovers.

I've been looking for a makeup brush case/roll and all the ones I found were either expensive, ugly or both. Then I found out about Sephora's line of limited edition stuff from Harajuku Lovers.

This is the brush case, was on sale for $14:


It has 6 slots but you can stick two brushes in each if they're not too fatty. Also comes with a little side zipper pouch. The only thing I don't like about it is that it seems to be made for righties. When I open it the way I like, the brushes are upside down. :C I also need a new foundation brush that doesn't have a fatty handle cuz my current one doesn't fit in there.

I also ended up getting what they called an organizer:


It's perfect for traveling and con time! :D It has two clear pouches, I can toss in my small bottles of toiletries and possibly all makeup so they're all in one place when I'm on the go. The thing is that it looks almost neon hi-liter yellow in person. My eyeesss. @_@; It looked less so online, ah well. It also is a lot bigger than I thought it'd be.

I has wanted them both to match, but the blue one didn't have the organizer and the yellow one didn't have a brush case like that. So I got winter and summer, lol. Now to get stuff for the other 2 seasons...

Okay, time to work on Fanimu things.

A coworker brought in these little fruit-shaped snacks. So adorable! Reminds me of those random toys and erasers in the same shapes. I thought they were made out of marzipan, but in actuality it's made from green/mung bean. I had a persimmon. SO TINYYY.



Random note: Inadvertently, my nail polish matches that belt on the dress EXACTLY. Kinda scary. o.o

Random notes #2: Don't get Urban Outfitters nail polish. It starting chipping 2-3 days in. Booo.

Didn't do much today other than exchange this Hot Tools flat iron I bought from Ulta (think of Sephora but...they sell both salon and drug store brand named beauty and hair products) that DID NOT work on my stubborn ass hair for this Remington Wet 2 Straight something or rather one that has ceramic plates which the Hot Tools one didn't have. The girl recommended it to me. So...let's hope this works out well because I still can't justify spending $150 on a Chi even though I KNOW that one works very well.

:: Never did a "This is what I wore today" kinda post but I actually liked what I wore today. Well, in terms that I actually actively thought to throw on some jewelry and wear something a bit nicer. So yeah, here ya go:

Mm. So what was supposed to be "Work on our portfolio site day" with Nard and Sara ended up being a semi-shopping spree. LOL.

We are such hard workers. XD

Anyway, since Sara didn't have much to do compared to the rest of us, she straightened my hair w/ Nard's flat iron. And omg wow. It actually straightened my stubborn hair w/o too much effort. o_o; I think I might invest in one of whatever he has...

Well, I guess one good thing that came out of the work session is that I think I know how I want my site to look. It's just a matter of starting it.

I forgot to get Sephora's free birthday gift to me. I think it was like...vanilla cupcake flavored bath bubbles or something. I don't know if I'll ever use that. I don't really like smelling like frosting, lol. But rawr, I found the prettiest purple eye shadow except they were out of it. It was Urban Decay's Last Call, I'm really starting to them...and Stila, too. I need to get me one of their lip glazes. They're awesome.

I ended up getting a pair of Blowfish boots. I had kinda wanted something a bit less casual...oh well. Then got this awesomely cute burnt orange short sleeved lazy turtleneck sweater and sexy manly button vests in some sort of suit fabric that go awesome w/ t-shirts as well as dressed up.

Geezus christ. The artist and name of this song eluded me for like A MONTH. 98.7 Star FM kept on playing the song but would NEVER say who sang it at the end of the song. >_>;

Lol, my school gave me a present: my only class was cancelled today. XD

Anyhoo, I realized I didn't want to be a house bum all day so I went to Westminster Mall w/ silvernaofficer. I don't think I've like truly ever shopped like I did today. I almost feel somewhat of a cliche now. Girl goes on a shopping spree on her birthday, haha. I need a new wardrobe anyway. XP

I just don't know where yet but it will prolly be around 7-8 pm in the greater LA area (lol, yeah I know BIGGGG area, right?). Yay, lunch time at work~

I splurged a bit last night at Target. :x Bought these sexy brown pumps by Isaac Mizrahi that I've been eyeing for a few months but never went on sale and this absolutely adorable blue hooded 3/4 sleeved...hoodie thing. O_o; I don't know how to describe it, lol. I'm wearing the heels now at work and owww my feet. It's not extremely painful but wow, I need to break 'em in.

to think i'd post more now that i'm on vacation...oh well, i guess not. let's see what have i been up to lately?

last wednesday, i went to the camarillo outlets for the first time w/ carlos, connie, and her sis, steph. it was like a mini-road trip and i almost killed everyone twice. iono, i always drive badly when i'm not in familiar surroudings, though i think carlos has to differ. pif. anyway, we got there and it smell like cow. yippee. it also wasn't as cool as i thought it'd be cuz there wasn't any outlets for the stores i normally go into. but i did end up w/ a paul frank men's (dind't realize it at the time but who cares) wallet and a roxy tube top. carlos did the most damage, he spent like $90ish at the nike store, lol. but i did get him to buy a polo shirt, maybe it's his first one that's not king uniform. who knows. connie and sis didn't get anything. we all shared a almond and chocolate chip caramel apple from the rocky mt. candy company or something like that. it was so yummy! and now, they're opening up one of them in the galleria. o_o!! damn them, it's gonna be so tempting. haha. well, afterwards, we "tried" to go to the beach. we were going to the cove of some beach. carlos said it was deserted and nice. but i have no idea if we really did find it. after a few u-turns, we stopped at what i guess he thought was it. but the stairs went down into a big pile of rocks and boulders, though there were like a couple and a dog down there (don't ask how they got thru it). and 2 of us were in slippers and 2 of them thought it was freezing cold. so we just headed back to the car. i just went down the PCH till connie was like turn left here to get to the 101. we ended up going along a winding mountain road. that was wierd cuz iono, for some reason, i didn't think cali had this. ok well, not at least this close to the shore. or something. i guess i was just surprised. we went to claim jumper to eat dinner since connie and steph had never eaten there b4. food was good. we were stuffed, but carlos still got a slice of motherload chocolate cake to take home. i got part of it. hehe. then we ended up at coffee bean and steph came over to chill. we eventually left cuz these stupid ppl were smoking excessively. so gross. i hope they die from cancer or something. ok maybe that was a bit too mean, but hey, they're asking for it.

zomg, AX is like in 4 days. O_O; and do i have any of the planned costumes ready? noooo. well, sophia doesn't count cuz it's been done...since last year. anyway, i'm starting to get excited now. xD i can't wait! i don't care if i sound like a loser, but it's so fun!
