Oh, man. I had quite a Halloween this year. I somehow ended up wearing three costumes, lol.

First, I went to Disneyland for Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween or whatever the heck they call it now. It was my first time going so I was real excited even though I've been to the theme park before when decorated for the holiday. I went with a whole slew of us on the first day the event opened. We were all Kingdom Hearts characters, which was fitting and I also finally got to get going on Ventus, which is something I've wanted to do for a while now. I didn't get to finish everything, but it will be done sometime next year; I'm guessing Fanime? Either way, it was really neat to have a lot of the cast members recognize us though. Even some event goers gave us mad props. :D

Though, I'm sad to say that I didn't make it to the park before sundown and I think that really limited us on what we could do before closing time and it didn't help that some of us wanted pics everywhere. I only rode like four rides; Space Mountain was not included in that nor was The Haunted Mansion. The next time I go, I'm definitely riding the rides no matter what y'all say. I didn't pay the amount I did just to treat the park as a photoshoot location. No hard feelings, yeah?

Second, I was invited to the infamous White Base for a party on Saturday of Halloween weekend. I ended up being a GANGURO, HAHA. It was totally a last minute decision as I was leaning towards being lazy and rewearing my McGee's Alice from the year before, but I figure since I'm going to what was predicted as an epic party, I should get epic for it.

It took WAY longer than I thought it would to put the makeup one and it's not like I used a lot of different products. It was also quite gross putting that much cream stick concealer on your face. At one point, it totally looked more like I was a Cirque du Soleil extra until I tried to go more extreme...then it looked more right. Lol. I needed more jewelry, but didn't feel like spending more than necessary for things I'd never wear on a regular basis. Ah well.

I also didn't realize how unrecognizable I'd look in the makeup until I surprised and shocked everyone at the party cuz to me, it still looked like me kind of, hahaha. My fave reaction was [livejournal.com profile] itsuka's. XD

What little photos I took are here.

Then, it was Halloween. I decided that I wanted to wear something to work that wasn't ganguro cuz I didn't want to sit around in that makeup for 8 hrs as much as it'd be HILARIOUS to see all the older fobby office lady's reactions. I ended up as some lolita doll thing...wearing my Suu wig, Speed Grapher button up shirt and Maka black tights with a skirt. Oh and I drew a heart on my lips. Yup. The people in the office were all like, "WAAHH!! HOW PRETTY!!" Still pretty amusing.

I totally forgot I had to go into the WHF Chinatown store to take product shots for the Christmas sales flyer...in costume. Whoops. Well, not that I REALLY cared. Then after work, Ben and I had a few friends over where we watch Silent Hill and Hocus Pocus (my brain's still reeling from Binx = McGee o.o).

Just one more. )

Even with so many costumes, it was one of the funnest Halloweens I've had. I did so much! Haha. You're never too old to dress up and have some fun~

✿ So Halloween. This year, I decided to brave the chaos and potentially retina-damaging ass-less costumes that make up the West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval. My trusty sidekicks were [livejournal.com profile] silvernaofficer as Sexy No Jutsu!Bear Jew and Steph as an angel.

Let's see...
- Didn't get there until around 7:30 pm.
- Got lucky with finding FREE street parking. Booyah!
- Delicious dinner of panini portabella and a matcha latte at Urth Cafe.
- Off into the droves of people!
- Too many "My father didn't love me enough" costumes.
- It was almost like the dealer's hall at AX this year. Bons says it's almost like SDCC dealer's hall, but I wouldn't know, lol.
- I missed Prince Poppycock!!! DX
- Ben was taking forever to get back to me about where to meet up with him.
- Spotty reception was spotty.
- Gay gogo dancer can't dance. It was really awkward to watch. Neither can some stripper girl who came out of a huge Chinese takeout box.
- Ended up at the Troubadour. Haven't been there since Good Charlotte in my high days, omggg. I remember it being bigger. Maybe that bar wasn't there before...
- Had a total of 1 drink the entire night. Lameee.
- Found Ben and his friends. They're smashed, haha.
- Too much walkingggg.
- Got home around 1 am? Idk how I chatted a bit with [livejournal.com profile] konishii and Jav. Passed out at like 2 am?

I don't know if I'd go again. It was quite the experience - kind of was like a con meets Vegas strip minus the booze on the streets - but it wasn't anything amazing. Ah well. At least I can say I've gone once.

✿ This is one of the reasons I love fall/winter:

From Maxy-kun

Every other time, he ignores me unless he wants something, haha. ;o;

I cry at that hole in my shirt. It's my high school class shirt and bleach got on it...and ate a hole. :C

[livejournal.com profile] bluestraggler and I on Skype. On things that end with "ans" potentially being scary.
Nat: It's like how lesbians are scarier than gay men!
Me: ......*didn't hear correctly* Mexicans? O__o?
Nat: PFFTTTT. NOOO, LESBIANS.

✿ I realize I do not have the attention span for that 30 day meme. So yeah, no more of that. |D
evanae: (Nill // I didn't do it)
Lmao, all I did today was attached the sleeves. The right one looks a bit deflated and stupidly ruffled...not sure if I want to redo. Gah @ my perfectionism.

I believe me, Steph and gay boys will be strutting our stuff in WeHo this Sunday night. If you want to join us, let me know. If you'll be there, let me know as well! It'd be fun to hang out. :] I've never been there on Halloween before. Apparently Prince Poppycock is going to be crowned “Honorary Mayor”, haha. I'm hoping it'll be a memorable experience.

Glee was cute tonight minus me wanting to smack Shue for acting all desperate and somewhat selfish, but he redeemed himself at the end. I had no idea John Stamos could sing, haha. Yay for Emma singing! That was hotttt! And Sam's hot, too. >>; *ahem* Anyway, I liked how they worked in the RL issues with the episode's theme. It had a good balance of drama llama and lulz. Just the way I like my Glee. /nods

Mexican terrorist ants, lol.

Maybe I should use, "Now give me a chocolate bar or I will CUT you." on Sunday.

I also secretly wanted to see Other Asian in a corset...

Backlog posts to come:
- California ScienCenter
- Vasquez Rocks
- Abney Park at Bar Sinister

[insert meme that no one did here]

This was supposed to be a Halloween meme of "trick or treating" on ppl's LJs but no one did it, lol. Good job, guys.

So I deleted it and am just going to share the pics I took for [livejournal.com profile] rukawgf.

She gave me this trick:

Wear your Auel wig and any clothes you want. girly, or tomboy, normal looking to sci-fi, just not Auel's costume. Take a pic. :D

The result:

But wait! )

Yeah, I have my Halloween costume makeup on hence the whoa eyeliner. XD; And that was the best I could come up with quickly as I'm waiting for [livejournal.com profile] silvernaofficer to get to my house.

Mm, so I found something to do for Halloween! Nard invited me to his friend's appropriately themed party.

At first I was going to go as her:

And he was going to be "Toshi". XD Which in our mind was a nerdy business man. Y'know hair combed to the side, glasses. And we were going to add a touch of tousled hair, lipstick kiss on the check and loosened tie with ruffed up shirt. But then I thought about it and really didn't want to make anything nor spend that much money on fabric. No moar sewinggg. I need a break. ^^;

So now he's going to be some...random samurai dude (borrowing my Bakumatsu hakama, lol) and I will be a Planeteer!

Gi to be exact:

Shamelessly hotlinked from someone else's PB. 8D;;

And [livejournal.com profile] silvernaofficer is going to be Linka!

Well, I doubt we'll be accurately badly 90s fashioned, but close enough. Whatev. It's Halloween, not a con. Lol.

LOL, their site CRACKS ME UP. It's soooo cheesy with all the sfx that pop up when you hover/click anything and everything. XD

What are you guys dressing up as for Halloween?

Ilu all~

LOL! OMG, this is so funny and fun carving a pumpkin w/ christine and bernard. we're doing a "stitch-knocked-over-and-is-eating-a-pumpkin" jack-o-lantern. the marker's water-soluble, so it's rubbing off on our hands and everywhere else. i drew a butterfly on my palm. whee. yeah, it tickled. and then bernard had to go full-on artistic mode for stitch's head/face, only to have it wiped off by christine cuz it ended up being crooked, haha. at first, i thought my doom was near cuz of the soc. pysch. midterm being today instead of what i thought it being on thur. but now that that's outta the way, we can carve pumpkins and not hafta stress out over it. halloween store shopping tomorrow! maybe for tsukasa wings, i dunno yet. =\ cuz i like bonnie's idea of fabric base flowyness. hm...ok, back to check on the other two. happy (early) all hallow's eve u guys. ^.^
