I need to stop cosplaying from fandoms I'm not even in. But I do think I look better as Black*Star than Maka. And nitaspitas looks uber cute in Anya. 8D

It looks like I might be able to go back to Taiwan this August-ish! The plan is to stay there for a month. I'll have to see if I can take that much time off from work but aahhh so exciteddd!!! I haven't been back for a while now and every time I'm on MSN Messenger, my cousins would bug me asking when we'll come visit. I'm so ready for some major shopping! Maybe try to go to a cosplay event? I'm curious to see how it is over there compared to here but I don't know anyone to go with...And I definitely want to hit art shows, museums, touristy things since I've never really been to many and my sister is finally interested because of this one class she's taken.

Oh and because of this, I decided that I'm not going to go to SDCC this year. Yeah, I know I always say I'll go every year and end up not. But this time, it's because there's a good chance I'd have to pay for my own plane ticket. So yeah, time to save up.

I was catching up on Sakura Gari last night. It's Yuu Watase's current project I think? (I can hear blackjackie999 groaning right about now, lol) But ugh. Man, that was intense and sooo sad and fucked up.

Oh god, I found another new manga series to read. Anyone heard of 07-Ghost?

Apparently, it started wayyy back in 2005 and only has like 6 volumes so far...whut? Lol.

The story's different and interesting and the characters are likeable but also different enough to not be stereotypical. The art is also pretty. *__*

Uhm, so the story's about this amnesiac boy named Teito, an ex-student of the empire's military academy being pursued by the imperial army. He finds himself refuge in the empire's church and meets the crazy eclectic clergymen and creatures that live there. A tragic event concerning his best friend leads to a spiral of events that have him on a quest to find out about his past, sort out his present, and involve him in the affairs of the Gods themselves as he finds himself at the center of the conflict between Verloren, the God of Death, and the mysterious “beings of light” sent by Heaven to oppose him: the 07 Ghosts.

Both of the projects called for found plastic "junk". We had to manipulate the pieces to make it out own and cast it. One project (the ring) was just to make something outta plastic. The other project (the bracelet) was to make at least 5 multiples of one thing using a rubber mold and wax and use those to make something wearable.

:: For some reason, every time I play the "read random manga" game, it almost always ends up being shoujo. I dunno why.

My most recent reading spree was Absolute Boyfriend and I bawled like a baby at the ending of it. It was so sad!!! But yet, bittersweet. ;_____;

Oh and it bugged me that Gaku-san would say random words and phrases in Spanish. Last I knew, the Kansai dialect didn't involve espanol. Makes me wonder how it was originally written in Japanese. XD;

:: God my sleeping sched and eating sched have been fucked up. It's not that I've been pulling all-nighters but for some reason I'm just not hungry at the times I used to be and I seem to need more than 8 hrs sleep lately. I dunno. Blah.

I seem to have fallen into the habit of playing "pick random series to read" on One Manga and it's proving to be interesting...

Deadman Wonderland
Summary: Ganta Igarashi has been convicted of a crime he didn't commit and is sent to a new, privately owned and operated prison called Deadman Wonderland that functions as a sort of theme park where the inmates are the main attraction w/ potentially deadly consequences. There he meets a weird girl, finds out he has super powers, and stumbles upon a conspiracy.

My Opinions: Omg. This manga is FUCKED UP. o_o; I felt numb after reading it cuz it was brimming full of wtf wrongfulness!! I also didn't expect that much detailed bloody body parts and images of ppl dying or being tortured. The story so far is proving interesting. You can't help but to kinda cheer on Ganta cuz he's wrongfully thrown into this crazy ass new reality he has to call home and he's trying everything he can to LIVE cuz one strong point of his is that he always gets back up. It's by the same person who did Eureka Seven btw.

Desire Climax
Author/Artist: Ayane Ukyou

Summary: Mio Omari is a hard-working girl. She goes to school and also works a part-time job to help support her family of four. It doesn't help that her mom's sick in the hospital and her dad's dead so she often finds it hard to make ends meet. One night, as she is going home from work, she meets a handsome stranger that steals her first kiss and offers to buy her. She finds out later that he's her landlord's son...and there's more to her relationship w/ him than she thinks.

My Opinions: I clicked on it cuz I thought it was yaoi...and it's not, lol. It's shoujo and wow it made my head reel but I STILL kept on reading it. D: It's got, according to aoi_tenshi, all the twists a stereotypical shoujo has. But I'm glad Mio's not as weak as the usual female main charac is. She's a bit more independent, strong-willed, and confident...but it still doesn't prevent her from getting molested. ^^; I seem to find myself asking WHY a lot. Why does she love him? Why is he so mean? Why is her "little bro" so creepy?

Hot Gimmick

Summary: I'm pretty sure y'all know this one. It's an older series.

My Opinions: So I finally started to read this cuz sparkledrgn86 told me to a looong time ago. It was making my head hurt, too. I started off hating this one dude, then her supposed knight in shining armor isn't all he's cracked up to be. There's also potential sibling love. Omgggg. I need to stay away from shoujo, gah.

Darker Than BLACK
Author: Okamura Tensai
Artist: Noki Ya

Summary: A young girl searches for the truth; to find out if her father really did die a year ago. This search leads her to the secret and extremely dangerous world of Contractors and the Hell's Gate.

My Opinions: It's like the new adventures of Hei and company. Srsly. XD; I kinda wished it followed the anime, to shed new light on a few things I felt the anime didn't really cover or reveal to us since I was a tad bit confused at the end. Oh well, but so far it seems okay. Nothing really special. I was spazzing when November 11 made his appearance. Hehe.
