Lolli Lolli Oh Lollipop

I saw R.E.D. last night with silvernaofficer and mollypocket at the Arclight Theaters. Man, that theater's crazy fancy. Their board of movies tells you when seating's begun, in progress or stopped for a showing. It was also quite odd being able to choose where you sit. I've done the assigned seating in theaters but they were in Taiwan and I didn't get to choose. They also have a glorified usher welcoming us to the movie. I seriously thought she was going to give us a synopsis of what we were about to watch, but she didn't, lol. I liked how they had no movie trivia questions nor advertisements from local establishments before the showtime.

The movie itself was entertaining. I really loved Helen Mirren in it, haha. And John Malkovich wasn't bad either in a wow crazy man sort of way. He was very good for lulz. ( Cut for spoilers, in case. )

Afterwards, we were on a hunt for dinner. I had found a sushi place in Hollywood, only to find that it was closed, wtf. So, we wandered a bit down Hollywood Boulevard and ended up at Lotería, some fancier smancier Mexican place. The food was pretty good. I didn't appreciate our waiter not telling us that the chips and salsa/guacamole weren't on the house. But, I guess it was also our fault for not asking? We're all so used to getting free bread, chips and salsa, etc. at other restaurants.

Then it was off to Cinespace, where we weren't ready to be surrounded by hordes of hipsters. The carpet also vaguely smelled of soggy wetness. Gross. Then the carpet in the actual room with the stage was all sticky. Even grosser. I went for Wyatt's band One Silver Astronaut. They weren't bad, really chill mellow stuff. Though the xylophone bugged the crap out of me. Maybe the mic on it was too loud... Kiev was pretty cool. We didn't get to see the remaining bands as we left around 11:30 pm. Ah well.

Bonnie wanted to make a drinking game out of how many people were wearing flannel shirts. Or leggings. Or messenger bags. I think we would've been smashed within 20 minutes.

While walking to Cinespace, we came up to some random guy who was air shooting cars driving by with an imaginary rifle. o___o; Then there were three random teenage boys trying to chat it up with us or something. Oh Hollywood. It's like a tamer version of Vegas at night.

Oh god, I didn't know Kevin McHale was in NLT. I remember watching their MV for "Karma" randomly a while back and lol'd at the cheesyness (yet I loved *NSYNC back in the day...idek), but didn't know who he was at the time. And now that I do? LOL I'M SO AMUSED. XD I wish he didn't play a paraplegic on Glee or else we'd get to see him danceeee.

I still don't like drawing hands. Nor Soul's hair, I don't know why it's so hard. Maybe it's the lack of a decent amount of spikes? There's also a bit of awkwardness because they ended up not being on the same plane. I tried to fix in Photoshop but it still looks a bit off...Whatever, here ya go. Oh and anime characters and Japanese men are the only guys imo, who can pull off hair accessories and look hot in it -- I want a Japanese boyfriend so I can play with his hair. XDD

There was surprisingly no traffic on the drive down to the LBC to meet up with eeveil, kircheis, sprkldragon86 and Courtney at Super Mex for some good ol' Mexican food to celebrate Cinco de Mayo like the Mexicans we are. The food was GOOD though. The Cadillac Margarita was decent but wtf it had no salt on the rim of the glass. I wasn't about to sit there licking the cup and sprinkling salt from the shaker all night either...

Justine is amazing. 8D

Yesterday was dinner at Mimi's Cafe with Da Posse. It was nice to hang out with them since I don't see them as often as you guys. I had a sparkling wine strawberry lemonade. :9 What is this alcoholism? It's only Tuesday, omg. DX We made plans to go visit Steph in Chicago sometime in August, so if it happens before I go to Taiwan, I'll try to go as well. Woo traveling~

Nard recently gave me the P90X videos and I've been trying to start it but ugh...it just doesn't happen. u__u; I either am not home on weekends so I cannot continuously work out or I go out after work, come home and feel that it's too late to do anything. *flops around*

♥ HE WAS DAZZLING. Glitter in his hair. Glitter, sequins and the like on his outfits. XD

I was sorely tempted to wait for him at his meet & greet, autograph session just to say that to him, lmao. But Eve wasn't feeling so great and there was no organization of the lines, so we left.

♥ The entire audience was like 99.9% Asian. But well, what'd you expect?

Everyone was also uber subdued until he crossed the threshold of the stage. Then they'd like...hesitantly run over and mob him, but still in a very...polite manner. XD So strange. I'm all used to the overly excessive high pitched fangirl screams of my N*SYNC days. Even at rock shows, people stand up and dance! No. Everyone was SITTING for the duration of the whole thing. Wow.

♥ I felt a bit left out cuz I don't fully understand Mandarin. X( But luckily he mostly spoke in English. And that robot voice changer thing he was using in the beginning DID NOT help.

♥ I wanted to him dance with his dancers. Didn't happen. :[

♥ I think he cloned himself.

There was a part where members of the band came out in primary-colored suits, hats and sunglasses and all looked like him. Especially, the drummer. We totally thought that was Leehom playing the drums, but then he pops out behind the drummer, lmao. Omg we were so confused!

♥ Apparently he's an even bigger dork than I thought: he likes manhwa. And parts of the show had panels of him drawn comic book style as Music-Man...fighter of...music? He totally looked bishounen, haha.

We technically saw his fine ass....well, it was his comic book ass. But hey, better than nothing? Lol. I'm pathetic.

♥ He and Henry from Super Junior Mandarin should totally have a violin battle. XD

He also played the guitar and piano. I'm sure he knows more instruments.

♥ His new stuff's not bad. Definitely got a more rock vibe to it. Well, except that one song which I think is his new single atm. I don't like that one too much. It totally sounds like emo pop punk. ^^;

♥ His dragon guitar's crazy. But also what's up with Asian music artists and their weird costume-y get up's?

♥ He was trying to show off his languages cuz he's totally a language buff. Tried to speak in Japanese as well as Cantonese. It was kinda funny. XD

♥ He also does magic tricks apparently. He went into a cage thing and then a few seconds later appeared behind me on the bleacher seats. He never came my way though. :C

♥ The last song of the night was "Kiss Goodbye." He just barely played two notes on the piano and the audience went wild! He went "What!? How do you even know what song it is? It could be ANY song *starts to sing a random song*" Haha. XD

♥ I'm also pleasantly surprised he sounds amazing live!

On the way home, we decided to take a detour to a ghost town in Yermo. Well, it IS a ghost town but not in a sense of that it's completely deserted, creepy and dilapidated. It was more like an amusement park of sorts. It was also OMFG WINDY, like 50 mph winds. @__@

:: Wtf. My new phone won't connect to my Bluetooth headset. >:\ There's nothing online that addresses possible issues in connecting the two specific models. I tried connecting the headset to my sis' phone and it didn't work either. So hm...maybe it's the headset but it was working fine with my old phone and new phone connected fine with my laptop...O__o;

:: Lol, I felt so bad today. I had to ask one of the post office people to fish out my one letter in a bin full of other people's mail and it took him forever. ^^;;;

I had to use two cards from last year because I ran out of what I had bought this year and well...they apparently need 20 more cents of postage than usual. I only found this out because I forgot to put a stamp on one of them. :x I guess I must have used "forever" stamps last year because they mailed out without a problem.

Well, I guess one good thing that came out of the work session is that I think I know how I want my site to look. It's just a matter of starting it.

I forgot to get Sephora's free birthday gift to me. I think it was like...vanilla cupcake flavored bath bubbles or something. I don't know if I'll ever use that. I don't really like smelling like frosting, lol. But rawr, I found the prettiest purple eye shadow except they were out of it. It was Urban Decay's Last Call, I'm really starting to them...and Stila, too. I need to get me one of their lip glazes. They're awesome.

I ended up getting a pair of Blowfish boots. I had kinda wanted something a bit less casual...oh well. Then got this awesomely cute burnt orange short sleeved lazy turtleneck sweater and sexy manly button vests in some sort of suit fabric that go awesome w/ t-shirts as well as dressed up.

Geezus christ. The artist and name of this song eluded me for like A MONTH. 98.7 Star FM kept on playing the song but would NEVER say who sang it at the end of the song. >_>;

:: Here's a pic of my silkscreening for fiber class that some of you asked to see. We had to screen two 2ish x 10ish ft long fabric panels w/ two patterns/motifs/whatever in a minimum of 3 colors. I like the blue one better than the purple one. I didn't realize purple would be so hard to work w/ unless I used yellow, but then it'd keep on reminding me of the Lakers. ^^;
