SC here we come!

evanaethis week is my spring break. iono why it's so late compared to all the other schools...anyway, so i went on a road trip w/ steph to santa cruz to visit connie. :D originally, liz and roxana were supposed to come w/ us but roxana couldn't go cuz her classes actually take attendance now cuz of smaller class sizes and liz needed to spend time w/ her bf. oh well. :( so well, my dad wouldn't lemme take my car...and peter needed steph's car to get around cuz he didn't have an engine is his, haha. soo...we were gonna rent a car and steph wanted a 3rd person to share the cost w/. in the end, it was christian who went w/ us. but, we didn't get a rental car cuz we had to be at least 21, which didn't make sense cuz when we called, they said 18 and older...T.T anyway, we ended up taking steph's car anyway.
we wanted to get there in 4-5 hrs. and instead, got there in 6. oh well. the scenery that went by was pretty though. kinda of a shock to someone who only kinda knows what's in and around l.a. xD i think christian slept 80% of the whole trip, to and back, haha. we were going like 70-115 mph the whole way, kinda weaving in and out of traffic. cept most of the fwy's were 2 lanes or less. when it was 2 lanes, it was wierd, cuz slower traffic had to stay on the rite lane, so whenever we came up to a car in the left lane, they'd automatically move for us, haha. i missed an exit when it was my turn to drive, that was pretty funny. cuz i missed 2 u-turns to get back in the rite direction and then when i did finally get it rite, we almost hit the guardrail and christian was asleep during that whole incident, i think. lol.
so, we got to SC at 6, rite when connie got outta class. w00t! we were given a tour of her apt. it's SO nice! to me, it felt cozy but also had an air of sophistication or something. maybe it was the contrast of the white walls w/ exposed wood. there's 3 floors to it! 2 bedrooms and bathrooms on the bottom, kitchen and living room on the 2nd (connie said that everyone asks why their living room's on the 2nd floor, haha, but it's cuz the front door's on the 2nd floor!) then a loft/bedroom on the 3rd w/ a skylight. we met her roommates aylin (spelling?) and kerri, and also the dreaded bitch of a 3rd roommate. i forgot what her name was, but it's wierd. almaz? Oo; anyway, connie went to go pick up sylvia who got to SC thru her school's field trip/tour of the UC's and she also brought 3 of her clubbie (not that kinda club) friends. we ordered pizza for dinner.
hm...we also got crazy w/ my digi cam. there's like a gazillion pics of sylvia on there, haha. and iono why. xD during the middle of this fiasco, the bitchy roomie came up and turned on the tv. we dunno if it's cuz her mom told her to cuz she was on the phone w/ her or if she really did want to watch american idol and one tree hill or if she just didn't want us to play music and have fun...anyway, at one point, sylvia, connie, and me were trying to make the music louder to annoy her but she ended up turning around and saying "hey guys, i'm trying to watch tv here, can u turn it down?" in a controlled rude attitude. connie got so mad, haha. but we didn't do anything. she eventually left anyway.
oooh, we got some herbal supplements from a neighbor, haha. that was funny cuz like some ppl were acting so secretive. a pipe was also bought, it was purdy. but only a few ppl actually used it. later on, kerri bought some drinks (yesh he's 21). and well, connie, steph, me, and him all got drunk. it was SOOO hilarious. i think i had like several shots of this pineapple flavored rum and a bottle or two of jack daniel's berry flavored drink (think smirnoff ice). but before, before my pizza had digested, i had like some cosmo and a shot of tequila. and well, i found out that i'm the type of drunk who just like lies down somewheres and doesn't wanna move or talk but is still alert and can hear and comprehend everything. while the other 3 talked soo freakin' much, haha. i think 1 of sylvia's friends also got drunk, she like fell in the bathroom? or so i was told. let's see, the things that were said included...
-"that's straight up l.a. style, man!"
-"(insert name) is my best friend!"
-"i'm not gonna remember anything"
-"i'm gonna remember everything"
-repeated "shhh!!!'s" haha
-something about a jawbreaker being to big and hard to put in the mouth, haha
-something about wanting babies
-something about saying that they're still sober after 10 shots, then it changed to 6, that's cut in half!
i don't think they slept till like 3 or 4 am. i puked at one point. ew. then i also moved up to the loft, where it's kerri's bedroom to sleep cuz they were way too loud. but er, the loft has no doors, so it's not like it helped that much, haha. oh and someone kept on snoring thruout the nite. that was SOOO bad...i couldn't sleep at all and being drunk didn't help. i was still amazed that i didn't get a hangover. i don't even know what u hafta do to get one anymore, not that i want one ever, haha. connie and steph had to wake up at like 6 to take sylvia and company back to their hotel cuz they had to leave w/ the bus. then afterwards, i like went downstairs w/ my blanket. connie said that she saw her blanket on the floor and then my head popped out and almost scared her, haha. we then ended up sleeping for another hr or so.
later on, connie said that she woke up w/ sylvia poking her neck to wake her up, haha. and she had no clue where she was. the funny thing is that she was wearing kerri's shirt (i think she was saying that she was cold and wanted a shirt, haha) and steph was wearing connie's shirt and kerri had connie's socks on, HAHAHA. well, then we walked to the beach after getting ourselves together, taking a shower, and packing up again. the beach is SO PRETTY! @_@ it's like 10 times better than venice or santa monica. there's a boardwalk w/ rides (better than that one lil coaster at SM). there's also a light house, big waves (not that i can surf...), a um...cave or more like a hole in this rock that leads to the another side w/ a beach, a uhm...river, and beach/boardwalk on the other side. there was a abandoned boat half buried in sand. twisted logs. so cool! then, us 3 headed off back to so. cal. oh yeah, apparently dairy queen sells burgers and foods other than their ice creams and blizzards. me and steph wanted to try that cheesecake blizzard but ended up not. there's always that DQ in burbank. their burgers were like cafeteria style ones that are all dry and stuff. bleh. but nevertheless, it filled us up. their fries were kinda good though.
omg! haha, i almost forgot to mention, we like massacred a bunch of bugs on the way to and back w/ steph's car. it was SOOO disgusting! we'll be driving and there'd be a sudden *splat!* on the windshield. ew...and then whenever we had a pit stop, flies and bees would fly around the car cuz of all the bug guts, haha. we also saw a guy on a motorcycle and wondered if he had a helmet w/ those covers over the face to prevent his face from being covered in bug guts but he had a mask that looked like a wrestler's one, it looked kinda creepy cuz he looked at us when i turned to see what he was wearing, haha. we passed like several ppl who had been pulled over by the police for speeding. the funny thing was that we were going way more than the speed limit when we passed them. haha. but we never got caught! muahahaha.
all in all, that was a fun trip. i wish we could've stayed longer, but there's always next time. and it's better than doing nothing at all during ur spring break. ^.^
