evanae*warning : spoilers*
yesterday, i went to see charlie and the chocolate factory w/ mina. we went to the 11:10 am showing to beat the crowd and were we glad, after we came out there was a line of ppl waiting to buy tickets. the movie itself was kinda wierd. i think it was mainly cuz of johnny depp. this version of willy wonka was funny but somewhat disturbing. he kept on having flashbacks of his childhood. seemed somewhat of a germaphobe or something...i mean his gloves were like purple latex ones and he didn't like anyone touching him. lol. he was also deathly pale w/ a fairy tale prince haircut, haha. all the oompa loompas were played by this one guy and they weren't orange (*gasp*). they did break out into song whenever a kid got into a mishap. that boat ride in the chocolate river underground seemed fun. iono why, but charlie and i guess his folks had british accents while his grandparents didn't. O.o; how does that work? lol. oh i -loved- charlie's house. it was so tim burton-ish. all slanted and shit. but yeah, not really a kid's flick, the same went for lemony snicket's. haha. i think i'd hafta give it a 6 outta 10. =\ and depp wasn't hot this time around. boo. =(
