evanaewell...today was the last day of AX. i hafta say it was very fun. ^__^ i went w/ my sis and her 4 friends, well one of them only went one day. i cosplayed on friday and saturday as sophia forrester from last exile. then on sunday and today, i wore regular clothes. i also made a friend there, he's cool and he was sasuke from naruto. XD
friday ~> the line to pick up our badges was HORRIBLE!!!! we were in line for 3-4 hrs. *faints* that was sooo....boring...but we did run around and take pics of other ppl in their costumes. some dude came up to take pics of my sis, 2 of her friends, and me. then we noticed his badge said staff...which means our pics are gonna be posted up on the expo's site. @_@ we also bought some stuff. oh yeah and there was a man faye, yes u read rite, a man dressed up as faye from cowboy bebop. it was very gross, everyone who went by either laughed or made a face cuz he had an extremely hairy ass and legs and he made his shorts look almost like a thong when worn. >_< my virgin eyes! nah, not really, he was there last year, too except i got the pleasure of NOT seeing him, though my sis and her friends weren't so lucky, lol. i heard that he got kicked outta one of the hotels. HAHAHA. but the funniest thing of all, was what one of my sis' friend said about man faye's hairyness. she said, "damn, it's so long u can braid it!!!" and everyone went "EEEEEEEWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!" LOL.
saturday ~> this morning was range murata's (the character designer of the series i cosplayed as) panel and also since i was a member of cosplaylab.com, i also got to have pics taken w/ murata-sensei. XD XD that was really cool. he even took pics of me and the other cosplayers who were doing characs from his other works...so...i think that means our pics we be in japan...@_@ and i think every single person in the whole freakin' expo took my pic, i was one of two sophia's at the entire thing. O_o which, i guess, isn't a bad thing, lol. murata-sensei was really nice and friendly, i even got his autograph later that day and he remembered me!! XD i also got the autograph of the creator of ragnarok. that was cool, too. we also bought some more stuff. there was a naruto gathering and well, they went crazy, it was so hilarious. some guy as shino climbed a palm tree, a guy as itachi climbed one of the signs, almost fell, then jumped down and i think hurt himself, hahahah. then there were these two 7 ft tall guys dressed as ninjas playing a bongo drum as they went about the convention center.
sunday ~> this day was regular dress day for me. it was wierd...i was expecting ppl to ask to take my pic cuz i guess i got used to it in costume. LOL. the last two days, ppl would call out "sophia!" and i'd turn around, O_o but anyway...uh...all i remember is that we saw gravitation ep. 1 and 2. i've been wanting to watch this damn series but i couldn't find it online to d/l. well i found one but it was subbed in italian, O_O and one of my friends was rite, it IS a good series. well...if u don't like shounen-ai (aka boy love or as animerica defines it "young mean who prefer the company of other young men" LMAO), then u won't like this. anyway, moving on...we went to try to find the vol. 1 dvd afterwards but it was sold out everywhere. O_o;; oh well...there's always best buy. XD i also FINALLY bought a set of copic markers. they were still in the 3 digit price range in but uh...around $60 bucks off the retail price is a pretty good deal. ^^;; OOHHH YEAH! we didn't get into the ragnarok championship thingy where the top two guilds fight each other and the winner gets to go to the championship in korea. @_@ wow, huh? they were dumb though, cuz they DID NOT say anything about only the 1st 100 ppl get to go in. they said that the 1st 100 get free gifts...BOOO...so we didn't get to see the fighting b/w the guilds...that sucked. =P
monday ~> today, as i said, was the last day of AX. it was a half day. mostly everything closed at 3. i mainly went cuz i wanted to see the 3rd ep. of gravitation. it was so funny!!! i wish i had the dvds rite now... the soundtrack isn't too shabby either, i want that, too, lol. and yet again...i think we bought a few more things. and uh...we had taco bell for lunch and there was like half the cast of inuyasha and a wolfwood there w/ us, LOL. *sob*, i also found out that i have like around $33 left in my checking account!!! i would've had around $100 if i didn't get that stupid parking ticket!! BOO! i hate parking enforcement!!
all in all it was fun. i think i'd cosplay again. ^^ as who, iono yet. but u'll see by the time the next july 4 weekend rolls by. and a message to sylvia ~> "U BETTER GO NEXT TIME!!! NOW U KNOW WHAT U MISSED OUT ON!!!" lol. *hug* lava ya.
