evanaeSo uh. I guess I should've gone to the Cherry Blossom Festival yesterday? I wasn't aware that everyone and their mom was going to be there! O_o;
While you guy were having funnn, I was sewing.
I decided to remake Maka's skirt because I really do hate the one I currently have. I don't know why...but I was a dumb butt and couldn't for the LIFE of me figure out how to make it the first time around with the pattern and ended up with this...thing where there's only pleats in the front, it doesn't fit me right at all and the painted on black plaid lines came out grey. Call me anal, crazy, whatever but it was really bothering me. >_<;
Then around like late afternoon, I figured out the stupid thing!! Hooray!!! It worked!!
Oh uh, I'm not going to use the ribbon as seen in the photo. I decided that I'll use bias tape instead because I keep on thinking that ribbon will end up being too heavy since the fabric's just the quilting fabric Joann's carries. And it's got a sheen to it that I'm not quite liking.
Note to self: Try not to buy tween-sized patterns from now on unless you like adding extra fabric because of your big bum...
Anyway, anime time.

Lol, okay I caved in and watched it because I wanted to watch something light-hearted and omg this is cuteeee. *o* All of the characters are lovable so far. The main girl's such a ditz. It is a wee bit too loli for my tastes (even though they're supposed to be in high school....) but omg cuteeeee!!! Let's hope that when they do finally play something, it doesn't suffer from same song syndrome. It seriously seems like something nice to watch when you want to just be drowned in cute.

Uhm, so I'm a bit confused...where exactly in the manga did this start with? I totally wasn't expecting the first ep to start with what it did; I was expecting them to be in uh that desert town with the sun god...But then again, I guess they were assuming that we all already know the characters so hence why they just kind of dived right in.
Other than that, wow I didn't realize how much I missed watching this series. I was literally grinning from ear to ear when Hughes and Roy came in. And then when Armstrong was all like "ARE MY SPLENDID MUSCLES WARMING YOUR HEART!? DON'T HOLD BACK, YOU CAN TOUCH THEM!! *SPARKLE SPARKLE*", I was sooo dying. XDD The art also didn't bother me as much as I thought it would so that's a plus. Overall, I'm like :D!! I'm interested to see where this goes since I gave up trying to read the manga a while back.
