This post will make you hungry.

Weekend was full of face-stuffage. I was a fatty. XD;Friday was fancy smancy dinner night. It was the first time I've ever been to a restaurant where the food was significantly smaller in portion than the plate itself.
This is what I wore to it since we had to dress up.

We chose the four course meal. Guess who took the nicer/better pics of the food? *hint: not me lol*
I had a nice glass of Pinot Grigio and Oscar had a glass of Rosé wine which was really good, too.
We had a...pre-appetizer, which comes with dinner I guess, called Chips and Salsa which was more like crumbs of tortilla chips, queso fresco (yummy) and the pulp of a tomato. Forgot to take a pic of that, lol.
We had two Beginning's.
I had the Pacific Yellowtail - Soy-watermelon, sea sponge, smoke egg yolk. Kind of refreshing due to the watermelon.

And the Scottish Salmon - Porcini mushrooms, pine nut butter. The lighter mushrooms are actually pureed mushrooms molded into the shape of mushrooms. XD The Porcini mushroom had a really interesting taste, I don't even know how to describe it.

Oscar had the Octopus - Butter popcorn (it was pureed @D@), piquillo confetti, cilantro.

And the Foie Gras - Aerated brioche, concord grape (it was in the middle of the foie gras like a filling), salsify (what?).

There were three different rolls. A country roll, bacon one and this truffle and brioche one with various French butters. The truffle one came with what looked more like lard and didn't taste like butter, rather it enhanced the flavor of the roll.

There was only one Middle.
I had the Jameson Farm Lamb - Vadouvan, pickled tongue (which was really good, didn't taste tongue-y, lol), eggplant-raisin, hummus tempura (*__*).

Oscar had the Four Story Hills Suckling Pig - Pistachio beans, tiny onions, OJ and coriander.

We then had a pre-dessert that was included and it was TIRAMISU DOTS. Omg, it was soooo good. I wanted a big bowl of it. :C

Then came our real desserts or as the menu called it: the End.
I had the Fools Gold - Chocolate, salty hazelnut praline (it was actually a tad bit salty for my tastes), milk sorbet. It had real gold flakes!

Oscar had the Mascarpone Cheesecake - Parmesan churro (it tasted more like fried batter imo, lol), tomato sorbet, tomato caramel.

Then there was an included post-dessert!!
From left to right, raspberry...squishy candy with edible wrapping (it was sooo good but then again, I have a weakness for raspberry), that empty space was the chocolate macaroons (which we kinda ate before we thought of taking a pic, lol) and then chocolate lollipops with a "surprise" as the waiter said.

The surprise was that it had -Pop Rocks- in it! XD Oh man, I hadn't had Pop Rocks in foreverrrr!
I ended up getting a cup of their coffee which the waiter said was made exclusively for them because I had food comaaa. After having a cup, I totally wish I could take a bag home with me. But alas, I can't. ;o; It was so rich yet not overwhelming with an almost a chocolate taste to it. So good!
Even though we had the four course meal, it was more like....six or seven with all the pre and post things. Omg, we were stuffed by the end. X9
