First off, hihi and welcome, [livejournal.com profile] dyaoka and [livejournal.com profile] cursedinanime! :)

Oh YCon. I love how we always go yet we always question why. But nonetheless, it was still the chill and fun weekend you'd expect.

I flew up this time because [livejournal.com profile] konishii and I had the brilliant idea to hang out in San Francisco for a day. Unfortunately, I forgot the con is only three days long so it was sadly a bit too rushed. :( Though we did get to visit Haight and Union Square.

I had to ride the BART from SFO to Powell. Boy, that was...fun. I had noooo clue how to use the freakin' ticket machines! The instructions did not help. I only figured it out when I peeked over the shoulder of someone who was just as confused and had asked for assistance, lol. Then, I accidentally passed my stop. The intercom was failing horribly. I couldn't hear the driver's announcements and the train seemed to have never been washed before so I could barely see out the windows at the signs at each stop. ;~; But. But! I got back to where I needed to be with a little help from [livejournal.com profile] ziggybecket. We then took a bus to Haight. That was not so fun -- too many people...too many weird people. 8|

Haight is, I guess, the area of bygone hippies. The vibe is still totally there but with slight hipster thrown in now. We we had yummy food at Asquew Grill. We had wanted to get things on skewers and somehow ended up with BBQ ribs and chicken not on skewers. Ah well. The food was pretty damn good though. I really loved the grilled zucchini sticks (more like flat, thinly sliced...things) and the buttery sauce it came with. :9 It was also nice that the guy who took our order was cute~

We perused a few stores. I came away with this hoodie from Loyal Army for $20 because it was missing a button which I found later to be in the pocket! But I kind of like my pin in its place instead. Though I can't button the hoodie up with it there; it's too big for the button hole, lol.

We also spent a bit of time in Union Square. I felt as if it could be reminiscent of New York City, even though I've yet to go there. There was just a crazy amount of people and cars going everywhereee. The Westfield mall is HUGE and quite high-end. I'm always surprised when a WF mall is high-end as I'm so used to the ghettoness that is Eagle Rock Plaza, haha. Though I think it's not owned by Westfield anymore? I'm not sure...Anyway, I ended up buying this uber cute knitted...short-sleeved cardigan thing at Macy's.

I wish we could've spent more time in the city. I almost didn't want to leave to go to YCon, lol. Though I could've done without the crazies and nomadic homeless people. ^^;

[livejournal.com profile] ziggybecket kindly picked me up from SFO after I rode back to it via BART in which I was crammed like a sardine for three stops since it was rush hour and the Bay Bridge was still down. Ow.

After a couple last minute fixings and a shit ton of safety pins, Rengokuinn was ready! (Sorry, [livejournal.com profile] antieden for making you bring your sewing machine for me only to not use it. :x) It was really fun to act like the retard that he is. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nerdcore for letting me join and to [livejournal.com profile] lionboogy and Oscar for the photos! :) I think I'll make a robot or two if I decide to re-wear him.

The sexiest people.

Lol, height accurate.

More photos here and here.

Long shoot was long. Afterwards, I opted for sleep rather than delicious food because I was crashing from only having two and half hours of sleep the night before. I felt a bit lame for calling it a night around 11:30 pm. But augh, people kept on waking me up! T__T; I was especially annoyed at the two people who were sleeping in the "living room" part of the suite.

The next day, [livejournal.com profile] silver_ruby and I had delicious breakfast in the hotel's restaurant.

I decided to wear Teito for the day. Spent some time at Mimi's AA table. Tagged along with Chas, [livejournal.com profile] ycysusan and [livejournal.com profile] sephtastic in their casual Reborn outfits. Met up with [livejournal.com profile] bluestraggler and then tagged along with her and [livejournal.com profile] cursedinanime in their Runaways costumes to meet Jo Chen. That woman's art is AMAZING! I would've bought her art book if it didn't cost a pretty penny.

There was then an impromptu Runaways mini-shoot. Photos to be posted tomorrow.

Had dinner at Liquid Sushi with Yvonne, Oscar, Nat, [livejournal.com profile] ravendarkwings, [livejournal.com profile] lachraine and Evan (dude, I just realized I don't have him on LJ, lol). The food was a bit pricy and a bit non-traditional but it was really good. Nat and Joey tried their hands...I mean, fists at sake bombs. The result was HILARIOUS. Then there was EPIC MUSIC played when they brought out a surprised birthday chocolate mousse for Joey, which Lauren and I missed because we were having issues with the automatic technology in the girl's room. Happy Birthday, bb~ ♥

Yummy looking, no? Minus their overload on the mayo and/or sauce.

Video of sake bombing to be posted later - it's still uploading.

Then there was an 07-Ghost shoot with Oscar with Nat and [livejournal.com profile] mikage joining us as Mikage/Shuri.

More photos here.

I was maid!Tieria for [livejournal.com profile] eeveil's themed room party of naughty occupations. Nat and I had a bit of fun with me a maid!Tater beforehand though, lol. I'm sorry, fandom. XD;;

I don't know why she's holding a can of Diet Coke, LOL.

I finally got to try [livejournal.com profile] slave_to_anime's now infamous Skittle vodka. But then I got a tummy ache 2-3 cups in so I stopped drinking in case I would end up upchucking, so I'm a bit sad I didn't get to drink more this weekend. Ah well.

Sunday was filled with nothing except a few shots of Susan in her Sheryl outfit, finding out that skim milk cafe lattes are kinda gross, chilling in the lobby and Quizno's for brunch! Then it was flight homeee.

Random things:
:: One of the elevators smelled like SYRUP one night, then really bad BO the next. :[
:: Mikage doing Vector Arrow, i.e. shooting a piece of Tater's tie out from inside his sleeve. XDD
:: Okay, there was more and I can't remember...

If you've read through this Great Wall of Text, I commend you with this:
