evanaetoday i woke up at like around 11 a.m. i decided that i needed to start on my speech that's due on tuesday, so i went to the comp, but unfortunately, i got stuck at the sucky comp in my mom's room AGAIN. damn sister...grrr...anyhoo, vil was actually on away for like the 2nd time since we've starting talking. that was another miracle. lol. i kinda feel sorry for him cuz he's awake in the wee morning just to chat w/ me. but it's so sweet. =3 it'll be sad when we start school. =(
at around 3, my sis and i were about to leave to go to the tofu festival in little tokyo. we were gonna go pick up her friend, veronica, but my mom was like "wait! i'm going to!" soo...after i got everyone in the car, we didn't get there till like 3:15 or something like that. steph was already there waiting for us...>_>;; sorry, hehe. the kinda scary and funny part though, was that i parked about 2 blocks away from where the festival was, so of course we had to walk there. and we passed this bum on the sidewalk and then the next thing i knew he started shouting at us. saying that he "carried a gun with him at all times and wasn't afraid to use it." when my sis, her friend, and i heard that, we just kinda started walking faster then started to crack up really hard when he was outta hearing range. LOL. then like we crossed the last street and some guy who passed us stopped and started saying something like "y'know inner beauty..." but we walked even faster so we luckily didn't hear the end to that sentence. i have no clue if he was drunk, but he was definitely perverted >_< *shudders*) the thing was though, that my mom was rite there! omg...dude, i know downtown is bad, lotsa bums and scary ppl, but wtf were these two doing so close to little tokyo? cuz they usually kinda stay away from there cuz of there's more ppl.
steph had a few coupons for us to get in at $4 a person instead of $8. but unfortunately, it wasn't all that fun. and yes, the tofu festival's food was all mainly made outta tofu. >_< i mean i like tofu, but having tofu gumbo and seeing ppl eat soy ice cream and tofu burritos. *ew* but one good thing though was tofu mochi. that was delicious. mmm...^_^ there was this one shirt that said "i don't like math" or something like that, that was funny. there was also shirts that said "got sushi?," "i'm not a terrorist," and "i don't speak english." LOL.
afterwards, after steph left, the remainder of us went to kinokuniya bookstore. then STILL don't have akfg's albums!! do NONE of the u.s. stores that carry japanese merchandise have it!?!? *sob*
ooh yeah!! my sis went into my mom's room to use the sucky comp cuz i finally got her to let me use this one and like she went to check on the progress of patches d/led for the ro game i just installed and she saw a HUGE thing move in the corner of the wall, up near the ceiling. and guess what, it was a GINORMOUS HUMUNGOUS ROACH!! she screamed and yelled for my mom. i went out to the hallway and i saw the damn thing and i started to scream, too. LOL. my mom went to kill it w/ the fly swatter. but like after she got it into a bag, it was still moving and so she stepped on the bag. *EEWWWW!!!!!!!!* i think she must've swatted at it a dozen times and it still wasn't dead. actually, i don't even know if it died when she stomped on it. *shudders* so yeah, that was gross and i think now my sis is traumatized. XD LOL. oh yeah, veronica, whom my sis was talking to on aim, said to put it in a jar and keep it as pet. and my sis was like "wtf is wrong w/ u!?!? why don't u keep it!!" LMAO. good times. XD
