evanaeIt seems like I've gotten somewhat back into the activity of watching anime again.
Tiger & Bunny
It started off rather silly and light-hearted. I wanted to like Barnaby cuz he's the token emo hero with a tragic past and a pretty face, but I ended up loving Kotetsu way, way more. He's such a dork, omagad. Such a selfless, yet hopeless dork. His relationship with his daughter working out somewhat in the end was adorable. Then of course, shit hit the fan in the last half. FUCKING MAVERICK. FUCK YOU. And then the ending came and I felt it was kind of glazed over or put on fastforward like...a lot. But at least there seems to be a second season coming or at least something on 11/13 cuz with that kind of ending? C'mon! Don't leave us fangirls hanging. :E
While it isn't the best series ever, I loved the characters. This definitely was a series more focused on character development -- well on the two main guys. I hope they split off into the other Heroes in the next season. I'd love to learn more about them!

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect when I first started watching this. I was intrigued by it thanks to all of the fanart I found on my Dashboard and then of course, some of you guys spazzing about it helped me along. Then afterwards, after watching it over the course of a little less than a week, I just...I felt like I was taken along for a somewhat wild ride and then punched in the gut and left there on the ground.
It was such an emotional plot. Reality vs. what you're brought up to believe. It really made me think of the phrase, "Ignorance is bliss," except now I just have Bunny's fobby accent in my head saying that, lol. It shows how well humans can adapt to situations...Idk. I'm just rambling now.
Oh and omg, I fucking bawled in the last ep. That was so...epic. Now that I'm reading the novels, I'm slightly scared at how much more emotional it'll be cuz there is just so much more -- in terms of details, exploration of character, dialogue -- compared to the anime (and probably manga). I can't believe this is supposed to be a juvenile/teen read.
Ao no Exorcist
I've only seen the first few eps of this, but I'm liking what I've seen so far! The animation's really nice. :O And it's been a while since I've watched a full-on shounen series. I think the last one was Soul Eater...I don't know if T&B counts?
Also, haha wtf @ Mephisto Pheles's character design. He's awesome. XD
Bounen no Xamdou
Haha, I finally tried catching up to it...but only got about 2 eps further than wherever I last left off. ^^; Maybe I'll finish it up this weekend during my sewing party witheeveil.
That being said, I think I need to update my MyAnimeList or start a new one somewhere on my comp. I have so many series I've yet to finish. :x
