evanaetuesday nite was pretty dope for me. it was the first time i went to a tv show taping. sylvia had gotten 4 free tickets from some website. steph and her cousin, lindsey, were there also. the 3 of them had gotten there around 3. i, myself, didn't get there till like 5. but we didn't even go in til like 6 or 7. when the line did move, we had to go thru a metal detector and bag check. they took away my cell phone cuz it has a camera. =P it's not like i was even gonna take pics and even if i did the pics would prolly be so bad u couldn't even recognize it being jimmy, but whatevers. lol.
as we were going in, this girl was giving out majority yellow tickets and also some white ones. sylvia went to ask what the white ones were and it was for the ppl who got to be in front of the stage. btw, the musical guest was taking back sunday! cool, huh? well, for me it was just another cool thing to do since i haven't really heard any of their songs. =\ lol. so yeah, sylvia got the last two white tickets and so me and lindsey got separated from them. =( but at least no one was by herself.
after we were all seated, there was this one dude who apparently was like the uh..."get-the-audience-pumped-up" guy who had a huge water stain on his shirt which he kept on referring to. lol. he did a pretty good job though, haha. ooh yeah, the signs that told u when to clap and when to stop were pretty funny. when they wanted us to clap it said, "clap u bastards." then when they wanted us to stop it said, "shut the fuck up." LOL.
the show in general was semi-boring but also had its funny parts. the guests were mimi rogers (all 4 of us were like "whotf is that!?" lol), mike tyson (w00t! ok not really, his voice was hilarious though, haha), some dude at the democratic nat'l convention, and uhm...musical guest, taking back sunday! XD
it got really tiring after they kept on making us clap. sylvia and i were yawning and were making sure the camera wasn't on us while we yawned, haha. oh yeah, we sat there doing nothing every time they had a commercial break, lol.
when they were FINALLY done w/ the show (prolly like uh...45 min or so) we all moved to another place where the stage was set. of course, steph and sylvia got to be in front of the stage, where they were being taped and stuff. there was like a mini-pit almost, haha. but lindsey and i were stuck in the back and they weren't filming us. the lamest part though was that we were surrounded by tall ppl. damn them! T_T and also there was a huge ass column blocking my vision of the stage, it was smack dab in the middle, too. >_< so...the only person i saw was the new guy in the band w/ the beard. so yeah that kinda sucked.
we didn't get out till uhm...9-ish i think. my mom had called me like 3 times on my cell. =P i think she worries a lil too much sometimes, but oh well, that's what moms do, lol. all in all, it was a pretty cool experience. watching tbs sucked though mainly cuz i didn't SEE them. lol. i also recorded the show, or well, tried to. but my stupid vcr ended up recording cartoon network instead. T_T stupid vcr...grr...but i did watch it and i saw sylvia and steph in the audience going w000!! LOL. lindsey and i were towards the side of the audience so i didn't really see us. =( oh well. ok til next time, "sank u goo nigh!!"
