I started watching the Taiwanese adaptation of Hana-Kimi today on YouTube thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ziggybecket. I lovelovelove the manga so I was skeptical of the T-drama being that most of them kinda suck. ^^; Then somehow, I always end up watching a handful of them when I am over there visiting my mom's side of the fam, haha. The adaptation's not as bad as I thought it'd be...if u ignore the wrong uniforms and a few other minor things. They're actually following the storyline so far (well I've only seen ep 1, lol). As for the characs, I LOVE Nakatsu! XD He is SO stupidly goofy! ♥ Sano's not bad either~ I dunno why Umeda's so creepy. ;__; Nanba's creepy gay and Senri's so flamboyant, it's hilarious. XD Then there's Mizuki. I didn't like how it was that one girl from S.H.E. but I'm getting used to her. D: Ah, this'll prolly suck up some of my vacation time...

I also watched The Promise today. Borrowed it from my cousin before he returned it to Blockbuster. I hafta say, the movie is oh so pretty. Like wow but overly done w/ bad CG. ^^; The story was also a bit weak. I kinda watched the whole thing for the evil villian. XD Nicholas Tse was hot in that role. He was like perfect. Had the whole insane, superiority complex going. He reminded me of how Kadaj talks. AND HE WAS GAY. Ok, not like he went after Kunlun or the General. But he wore FEATHERS and fought w/ FANS. Ahaha. XD

I drew little Harry Potter doodles for a few of my coworkers who're HP geeks. I didn't get Harry done yet, he looks retarded anyway, lol. So here's Ron and Malfoy. And no, please no R/M...ew...actually NO HP SLASH PRZ. DX Oh and it barely looks like them. XD; Ah, I tried. I can't really draw chibi's either, haha.

I really should use Netflix. =\ Get all them old movies I haven't seen yet, that I should, like Pulp Fiction, Memento, Amelie, etc. The ones that came out when I wasn't 18 yet. DX

I saw Promise at a special screening that the director attended. Man, that was disappointing. So often it seems like when they make a movie with an ensemble cast of several big name stars, the movie sucks. I guess it's no different in Asia. But the villain dude's hair totally wins! I would be amazed to discover that someone actually wore their hair that way, way back then in ancient historical fantasy time. That would be awesome.

I wasn't that satisfied when I saw House of Flying Daggers either. =\ I haven't seen Hero or Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon yet.

LOL, yes! I loved his hair! XD Made me wanna cosplay from the movie cuz the costumes were so cool, well only the villian's was cool and maybe the dude in the black feather cloak. =\

I thought Daggers was okay, but the ending lagged. I liked all the forest people in green. They looked to me like the Elves of Lothlorien, if Lord of the Rings had been made as a Chinese wuxia movie.

Hero & Crouching Tiger were better tho, especially the visual imagery of Hero.

I find it odd how I'm not satisfied w/ the sad endings of the Chinese movies I watch but then I'm disappointed when I see a happy ending in American movies, lol.

I'll hafta rent those two then. I'm not a big fan of Jet Li, though...JACKIE CHAN FTW. J/k... >.>;

I like 'em both! ^_^
I've liked Jet Li's recent movies (Hero, Unleashed, Fearless), but I haven't seen any of Jackie's recent pics since The Medallion... XP
They're supposed to do a movie together in 2008, directed by the guy who directed, um... Lion King... and Haunted Mansion...?

As much as I love The Lion King...I fear that that might be the downfall for this movie, lol.

I think the last film I saw w/ Jackie Chan in it was the one w/ Jennifer Love Hewitt in it. As for Jet Li...I don't remember, it's been that long. XD
