Sakura Gathering '08

I think I know how some of the photographers feel having to fix every photo they take and hence them creating a backlog. I was a tard and didn't realize I prolly should've changed the settings to fit the day so all of my photos came out way too blue. :x And even after some fixing, some are still a bit off color-wise. :|

Either way, yesterday was funn~ So pretty and also very chillax. It was awesome seeing everyone and also meeting a few new ppl. :3 The day started out beautiful then got progressively colder and windier, but much fun and photos were to be had.

On our way back from an epic trek to a restroom, honmani and I saw this lady who had closed the car door on something denim...we dunno if it was the sleeve to her jacket or what, but it was flapping in the wind. XD

There was this woman...jazzercising or something. It was terribly amusing. She was SO INTO IT. Everyone who walked by was staring and they thought WE were weird. I wanted to record it but I would've look to obvious. Haha.

On the way home, a CHP officer stopped some dude who was riding his bike ON THE FWY. WTH...

Had yummy sushi at Zencu in Little Tokyo w/ sis afterwards, then some Ce Fiore for dessert~














Btw, that's Oscar as a schoolboy hitting up on those two schoolgirls. :3


I wonder how many ppl were like "....why does she have a noose? o___o;"

It was the cherry blossom gathering in Balboa Park in Van Nuys that happens every year but this year, it got like popular or something. Cuz before only several ppl went or so I was told.

Mm y'mean the Zetsubou-sensei? That's not her. I didn't get any pics of Ello cuz I saw her for a grand total of like 10 minutes the whole day. D:

I try to look like manga, hence is why I try not to blur out the background, but its all to each's style.

Woot! Thank you for the incredible pictures, I had an awesome time hanging out with you and everybody else. I felt kinda bad for leaving early but it got all windy and freezing. But yay for sakura :)

For the color correction, if you've got Photoshop you get some decent results with the Photo Filter command. Here's a sample:


Of course, you might've done that already.... the pictures still look good, the blue tones add an air of..... despair, perhaps? ;)

I didn't even use the Photo Filter command. XD I went into Levels and Color Balance and fiddled w/ it till it looked right. But now I'm too lazy to go back and fix them all again. =__=;
