Jun. 10th, 2008 09:31 amI don't think many of you have my Hotmail email address (I only have it for MSN messenger), but
IF YOU RECEIVE ANY EMAIL FROM THAT ADDRESS DO NOT OPEN IT.
My lovely friend got a virus and it send like 10 emails to my inbox, I knew it was virus spam and went about deleting the messages except I kinda accidentally opened two of them. I thought that I'd be fine if it were only just opened, I didn't d/l any attachments or click on any links, but nope. Guess not. My laptop is currently infected. I can turn it on fine but when I try to click around to do things, nothing happens. It's like it's frozen but cursor still moves.
I think I know what to do: take out the laptop's hd and take off all files I want saved then reformat the whole thing. The prob is I don't have the tools for it (hd reader thing? or something...) Can anyone offer any help? ^^; It'd be VERY much appreciated. I'll buy you DINNER. Srsly.

Date: 2008-06-10 05:03 pm (UTC)I did the same thing last year when my HD was failing :). I'm on a mac, but it should be the same on a PC.
Maybe you can boot off of a CD so that it wouldn't autoload any of the stuff on the HD? Then you wouldn't have to take out the HD at all.
