beach day! XD
Aug. 31st, 2004 09:58 pmlast friday was beach day, as u prolly knew from reading my last post. it was at dockwieler beach in marina del rey, y'know the beach w/ the fire pits and it also is like right next to LAX so there was a plane going over our heads every 20 min, lol. i got a ride from kin, picked up is friend, juan, and we got there around 4, only a few min. after steph and peter got there. then it was like the 5 of us for a while. till tiffany and james came. then sylvia, roxana, and tony. and um...uly and his gf, and then christine and her friends, sorry dunno their names. lol.
i thought we were gonna have a bbq but oh well, we had pizza and roast beef roll-like thingamajiggahs courtesy of steph. kin and i brought chips and drinks. no...we bought soda...we don't pass for 21 yr. olds. T_T HAHA. oh sylvia and roxana brought costco flan! which was pretty good, better than i expected but it seemed like there was like cake or something spongey in there though, O_o; we had marshmallows, burnt ones at times and also ones on fire. O_O too bad we didn't have s'mores. =\ james was smart, he stuck a piece of pizza on the stick and heated it in the flames. ^_^
i went in the water w/ tiffany and james. the only two ppl who would go in! ooo wait, n/m...tony, peter, uly, also went in. and christine's friends went in also but at nite and were warned by the lifeguards, haha. it was funny though, cuz y'know high tide was coming and so the waves were getting pretty big, O_O. and like tiff was trying to drown me, lol j/k. she was trying to pull me further in. and like a big wave came and she fell instead and made me fall. i hurt my ass on the sand. >_< the next day, there was like this red mark that hurt when i sat down, >_>;; lol. it was fun running away from the waves, XD. too bad i'm scared to actually swim in the ocean, i'd prolly drown. -__- well, i CAN kinda swim, like from point A to B and kinda tread water, but iono about doing it in semi-violent waters, haha.
it was cool when the sun set, it was SOOOO beautiful!! XD XD i took pics of the sunset, but the pics don't show how pretty it really was. =( it was funny when it got dark, cuz everyone started to make their bonfires. and like juan was all like, "ooh look! who's fire's bigger now, huh!?" ok that didn't really sound like him, but u get the idea, lol. the sad thing was that we only had a pile of logs and a pallet (is that how it's spelled? O_o) that tiff stole from her friend's store, haha. that thing burnt so quickly, -__- and in no time, we had like embers, then we started throwing in paper plates and stuff, lol.
i left w/ tiffany and james around 8:40ish pm. we went to bacalli's in monterey park. tommy, toan, sabin, and also lawson met us there. i've never been there to eat b4, though i wanted to, and i hafta say, the food was actually not bad. cuz usually chinese-influence american food is kinda iffy in taste, er well that's my experience, haha. the funny thing was that everyone ordered in english and tommy busts out in cantonese, haha. his reason made sense though, cuz the waiters usually don't understand u that well in english, haha. but i know mandarin...so that might not have worked either, XD. maybe i'll take my friends there one day. ^_^
hm..let's see...i think that's about it. i'll edit it if i can think of more to put. ^__^
