Dum dum dee dum.
Jan. 23rd, 2009 01:37 am:: Oh man, long weekend ahead for me. I get Monday through Wednesday off cuz Chinese New Year! :3 It'll make up for all the American holidays I spent working. Damn straight. But, I really am looking forward to it because I think I've been burnt out. I kind of want to just get out of LA for more than a night. Ah well...
At least I'm going to see Wang Leehom!!!! 8DD And be in Vegas where I can walk around drunk and make fun of other more shitfaced people. Woo.
And I also get to see
bluestraggler!!! :3 I think the plan is purikura (in casual!SE again, loool) and karaoke (oh man, been wanting to sing mah heart out~).
Uhh, SoCal people: Does anyone know of a place or area that has both in either the same plaza or relatively close distance away from each other? Because right now, all I can think of is purikura at Cue in Life Plaza and karaoke in the 2nd floor of the Little Tokyo Mall where Mitsuwa is in downtown LA.
:: Haha, I fail at remembering when shows are on TV nowadays. I seriously don't watch as much as I used to and having the ability to watch it online at a later time doesn't help. But yeah, I forgot that ABDC was on tonight at 8. XD; So uh, I watched it online.
Mario Lopez' Wtf Quotes of the Night:
"ABDC, lock it. *wink*"
"...hella tight" (THAT'S WHAT HE SAID, LOOL)
I don't know if he's reading from a script...or what but uh. DON'T SAY THINGS LIKE THAT. YOU ARE NOT COOL. DX
JC Chasez also called someone "homie"...oh god.
Anyway, the groups, yes.
Quest Crew. Daammnn, Steve! He did some like...butterfly kick thing and also backflipped and kicked his feet repeatedly in the air in said flip so that it matched the beat of the music. I do admit the whole thing was a bit...tai-bo-ish as JC said but uh well, their challenge was kickboxing. The end was super cute where Hok KO'ed Steve and was all like "*peace sign* 8DDD". That made me laugh.
Dynamic Edition. The clogging/hip-hop group is still intriguing me. It's just so...different! And I like how their hip-hop moves are more...pop-ish. Like more exaggerated. I dunno, it somehow makes them all the cuter, haha.
Ringmasters. What the judges said was true: they need more choreography cuz they got the theatrical part down pat. I wonder how long they'll last if they can't step it up with actual dancing.
Strikers All-Stars. Man, they can do the monkey roll like no tomorrow! Lol.
Beat Freaks. They were really creative in the way they did their challenge move even if they kind of seemed to not bring as much energy or danced slower cuz of said move.
Team Millennia. Hehe, leap frog! XD I liked how they were like...almost doing their own version of Thriller.
Boxcuttuhz. I felt a bit sad to see them leave, Lydia was so cute. ;_;
Fly Khicks. The jumping part of their routine was cool cuz they were so in sync but their outfits made me think of like...bumblebee prostitutes Moulin Rouge style. Lol.
I really don't understand the show's purpose of having both judges and voting. O_o; I dunno, whatev. It keeps me entertained every week. S'all that matters. And makes me wish I could dance like them. D8

Date: 2009-01-23 08:24 pm (UTC)I'll look/call them up to make sure! If not...I guess I could uh either find a karaoke place near Life Plaza or just drive to Little Tokyo since it'll be on the way home anyway.
