joey and ramen

evanaeafter giving a rather nervous (but supposedly good) presentation on adoption and surrogacy in my human sexuality class around noon...i headed on over to warner bros. studios for a taping of "joey".
this was the first time i've been to a tv show taping, unless jimmy kimmel live counts. me and steph (no christine cuz poor tucker had to go to the doctor D:) were vip, w00t...thanks to one of her dad's clients whose hubby works as the dj (?) for shows (aka putting on music and soundbits to pump up the live audience).
it was fun but tiring and very interesting seeing them film everything. it really is a slow process. like an episode in hopefully a week. then tons of editing time. i think they were having a bad day today. it started at 4 and by 8, when steph and i left, they weren't even halfway thru the scenes left to shoot. poor matt and co. =\
and i knew it! michael (paulo constanzo) on the show was in road trip and 40 days and 40 nites! all the time in the sound stage, i'm thinking, "he looks freakin' familiar...Dx".
it was kinda lame how we ended up getting no free stuff due to where we sat. seats were good in that we were in the 2nd row near the set but we were far from the guy that talks to us while they set up for a shot and gave out free stuff. well, we did get a door knob hanger that says "do not disturb watching joey". i wanted a t-shirt, though. and the raffle was later on, when all the taping was done. D: *sigh* oh well.
these dudes are comics, i swear...
"did u just call my mother a moose?!"
"hey, u big fuckin' moose!"
"howard just called to see when u'll be over at his parents so u can bang both of them"
"oh my swollen vagina~" <~ i would -SO- love for this to end up in one of the outtakes on the dvd, hahaha.
when we left, we were craving ramen. steph said daikokuya was good in little tokyo, so off we went. we got there, wrote our name on the waiting list, then uly calls steph. his car broke down. his new used car's engine had died on him near his house and he needed AAA from steph. soo...we left. got his car up to his house and went back and wrote our names on the list again. we went to check out a few stores around there, came back, and they had called us! =( so we wait AGAIN...by now it's like 10:30...and then finally we get our food. but it was so yummy. ^_^ it was worth the wait, haha.
