The madness has ended!
Apr. 3rd, 2009 09:31 pmAahh. So I just like marathon'ed Soul Eater eps 43 to the end and...I don't know, lol. I feel a tad bit jipped?
I mean it was obvious how it was going to end, but at least have Maka kill Asura off with her uh...blades from her dad's side along with the magic word instead of a just a punch? Then again, I can kind of understand why it was something so simple. It was almost cliche but cute...if you can even call it that...>>; And it made sense, too. I guess I just expected the finale to go out with a much bigger bang. I got all really hyped up and then I was like "...Oh. Well, okay...? That works too..."
The part where Black*Star and company all tell Asura that Maka has something special was UBER CORNY. XD;
I aldjlsjddsjf'd when Kid's lines connected for that awesome attack. XD I love himmmm~ ♥ I wish they didn't suddenly stop with him having his OCD get in the way of his fights in the last half. Bah. I mean yeah, it kinda came back when he fought those creepy clowns while retrieving Eibon but barely. :[
Maka forming blades herself was a nice surprise if not a bit late in the game. Even though it ended up being useless, it was still cool~ Funny that I never thought of it: She is the product of a meister and a weapon so of course there's a chance she could do that.
Black*Star >>>> Naruto imo, haha.
Overall, it was a damned entertaining series. Even if it was an original anime only ending, I'm glad I watched it~ It was well-produced, too. I do wish they had added a bit more to it. Like more involvement of the other characters. I would've liked to see Mifune as a teacher at Shibusen, surrounded by kids. D'aww. And maybe endings for the other characters would've been nice, too. It did feel a bit rushed...Ah well, I will probably move over to the manga because I want to know how it's meant to end...and suck it up and try to get used to the earlier art.
It is also the only series so far where I ended up like
ycysusan and made more than one costume for one character, loool. And now I wouldn't mind cosplaying other characters from it. Oh god, the madness! ;)
