evanae | Fanime 2010 Report

Oh Fanime. Suffice to say, I had a good time this year. I think it could've been better but oh well. Though, I was determined to not have a repeat of last year, so I went with the mindset that I will chill out, have fun and well, it really helped a lot. I do wish we weren't so delayed for a few things (like BECK >.<), but alas it's cosplay. We all run on cosplayer time -- if I say I'll be there in an hour, I really mean two, lol. Doesn't help that I also run on fob time on top of cosplayer time. 8D; I also wish I wasn't so TIRED. I think I actually knocked out around 11 pm on Sunday night. There wasn't enough drinking to be had either. Ah well.

It was great to see those I did. I only wish we all got to hang out more rather than just chatting for several minutes. :C I hate how it was so hard to run into friends this year. It was really odd. I'm also sorry I missed that I normally do see. At least there's AX to make up for it! Anyway, on with this report~

FRIDAY
- AAHHH RUNNING ON 3 HOURS OF SLEEP.
- Message from dad: BEWARE OF BLACK PEOPLE.
- Orn dogs and black gum.
- Ride up was surprisingly not bad at all, made it in 5 hrs! :D

- Day of horribly misheard things. Donut holes = yogurt balls. Blank CDs = Halle Berry. God knows what else...
- The 4th floor of the Hilton was the cool floor. BD
- Awesome roomies. Thank you guys for making it a chill atmosphere along with all the TMI and non-PC convos. We're so going to hell, lol.
- Walked past Flow with their posse of pink-badged people.
- Flow concert was fun! I just wish I knew more of their songs so I could sing along and get more into it. Energy was great though. People in the row in front of us were so unenthusiastic and the people in the row in front of them had no rhythm with their rocking outage, lol. I liked Keigo -- his smile was contagious. X3
- Hotel iron smelled like burnt Cheetos.
- "We have mapo tofu dripping off of Leehom Wang!"
- Only had to sew ONE thing at con this year! \o/

SATURDAY
- "Why is the closet talking?"
- "I'm sucking all the juice out before it splashes me in the face."
- Some people couldn't recognize me in Apache's makeup, lol.
- Makeup in my non-existent cleavage. Yup.

- Flow walked by us again, this time trailed by a couple otaku fangirl groupies...
- Saw the sexiest FFXIII group evar. I think you guys know who you are. ;D
- Long ass masq line was loonggg. We were halfway around the block by the time we found the end of the line. X(
- Fave skits from masquerade: THE YES DANCE. Black Butler doing Gee, lolol. Inuyasha one was adorable. And some others...

- Ran amok in Guadalupe River Park in Amatsuki.
- Saved a Pollo from the middle of the street. Poor thing.

- I look like a Korean boy in my Koyuki wig. I still don't really like the bangs. ;\
- 07-Ghost times. I couldn't find the manga in the dealer's hall at all, wtf?

MONDAY

- Got contacts mixed up and felt like shit the whole day cuz of blurry vision.../sob
- Stabbed my neck with

hakuku's pen that was on her ear when I tried to hug her. Oww.
- Wasted $15 trying to get an angry Ed and Roy Lucky*Fortune Telling chibi thingamabobs. Only succeeded in getting the prior.
- Bought the cutest socks~
- Oogled at the K-ON! Nendoroids like the pedo I am. ;A;
- The best playlist at Iguana's.
- Changed flight from 3 pm to 7:15 pm. Flight got delayed by like half an hour. Didn't get into LA until 9 pm. Booo.
- Got subjected to random pat-down search at the airport. Fun times.
