Jan. 30th, 2011 03:46 pm✿ Lalala, so I was bored. Which resulted in new icons and a new profile. I don't think I'm up for fiddling with a new layout just yet.
✿ So this post isn't completely pointless, here's my Fanime list so far:

Notes:
:: Kasuka's tentative...who am I bringing this for again? LOL.
:: Micchon may be her outfit in the movies instead of the series.
A couple questions regarding said list...
:: Who's good at props or knows someone who is? I need help with Kino's gun(s). D: I'll pay for materials and labor if you want or in love and food - your choice!
:: Who's made wings before? Or know of wing tutorials that aren't of the feather variety?I have a feeling Suu will be a doozy...

Date: 2011-01-31 12:22 am (UTC)Also guns in my experience are pretty difficult from a design standpoint. Especially in Kino, since the two guns she uses actually exist(ed) in real life.
If you still want/need my help though feel free to text or reply

Date: 2011-02-01 08:11 am (UTC)How would you make the gun? Like out of what materials? Is there a way for me to help in the design aspect?
She has a .22 Colt Woodsman Match Target semiautomatic pistol and .44 Colt 1851 Navy single action revolver.

Date: 2011-02-07 06:21 am (UTC)Anyway, my initial idea would be to use cheap toy guns as a base (handle and trigger)
For the revolver, I would use a combination of pvc pipe, matte board and paper clay to make the moving cylinder part. the only place I'm stuck at is with the barrel and how to make it into an octagon; clay, sculpt, and chisel? mold? I'm not too sure.
The colt seems a little more do-able. It's pretty flat so any cheap gun will work. Cut, sand, and mold the pistol base. Then add matte board to design accordingly

Date: 2011-02-08 03:36 am (UTC)I think maybe I'll just stick with a Colt and that's it. The revolver sounds like too much of a hassle. Do you think you have the time to make this for me with my help in the details? :O

Date: 2011-02-01 08:23 pm (UTC)For my Nabuca gun I used insulation foam (used a box cutter and sand paper to cut out and sculpt) and then paper mached with wood glue and newspaper (any paper will do). After that I spray painted it with Glossy Black and then coated it with wood finish lacquer.
