evanaeani-magic is a small lil anime con that's held usually at the hyatt in valencia, really close to magic mt. it was from oct. 1 - 3. i went w/ my friend bonnie and jet. overall, it was funner than i expected. of course, there weren't as many ppl as AX and also everything else was smaller in comparison, but it was still nice.
oct 1 ~> i had class in the morning. >=P but they weren't gonna come pick me up till like around 1. so it was all good. then, i couldn't find my gloves for sophia. yes, i was gonna cosplay as her again. ^^ so uh yeah, sophia had no gloves. we ended up getting there at 2 instead and bonnie and jet got to my house at like 12:30, too. >_< i blame myself and traffic. lol. anyway, we were gonna use bonnie's friend, andrew's, hotel room as our base of operations. so we pretty much got ready in there. it took bonnie like 2 hrs to get into her succubus costume from guilty gear. jet was one of the two guys from hunter x hunter. oo i remember when jet and i had to go down to the car to get something and we were like half dressed in our costumes (no, not nekkid, like not every prop/hair accessory is put on =P) and someone screamed from behind me down the hallway, "SOPHIA!!!!!!!!" i went O_o;; and jet and i ran and she almost steered me into one of the hotel's restaurants, lol. i still have no idea who that was and i believe i have a fan girl now. hahaha. hm...what else...jet was gonna participate in the karaoke revue show. pretty much a non-competitive karaoke show where the participants had to be cosplaying a charac from the show's song(s) they were gonna sing, or if it was a person, then dress like him/her. she sang the 1st op for hunter x hunter and now i'm in love w/ that song. XD i don't think i'll watch the series cuz it's WAY too long, but yeah. it was cool, cuz jet sang w/o the aid of the actual song, it was all acoustic. way to go jet! =D ooo yeah, bonnie got a hall cosplay award for her costume. XD
oct 2 ~> this day was alex and sophia day! XD i still think bonnie (aka alex) and i should've gotten a hall cosplay for best couple or something, haha. there was this free photoshoot for anyone in cosplay. so that was real cool. in one of our couple poses, we even got cheers from the ppl in line. >=3 hahaha. hm...oh yeah, jet had bought a table for two days for the swap meet. it was pretty much u sell ur unwanted anime junk that other ppl might want. jet was someone from a video game. ^^; sorry iono which one. it kinda sucked cuz they ani-magic staff couldn't find enough tables so we ended up having to sit on the ground. it was so freakin' hot that day, i thought i was gonna melt. -__- then later, we changed for the yakuza (japanese mafia, twas the theme this year) gathering. well, i was the only girl in a short skirt w/ a slit um...high up my thigh. ^^;; i had no sword either, ;_; i had a garrot (whatever how u spell it, aka, choke/strangling) wire consealed in a tube of lipstick, lol. that gathering was fun. some ppl had really cool suits. then when some of them decided to move to the garden for the gathering, some were busted for having their swords outta their sheaths. lol. security was like "no weaps out unless it's for a pic". lol. i wouldn't have been busted, all i had was stretchy black string, muahahaha. >=3 for dinner, we went to eat at this mexican place called "poquito mas". it was pretty good food, i had the combo w/ the two tacos. X3 yum. we also paid andrew $20 each since we used his room so much. afterwards, it was quite fun, we were just lying on the bed (andrew was getting ready for his um...slut geisha-ey costume in the bathroom =X). our convo ran from what we were gonna be for the last day, what time we were gonna come and go, to smelling jet's burrito and pretending we're swimming on the bed, and uhm...realizing we didn't need alcohol to have fun. we just hafta act stupid. LOL. XD bonnie had some absinthe in her car, she poured a small bit for andrew to try. dude, i didn't know that stuff turns orange. O_o;
oct. 3 ~> today was a short day. jet had to take the metrolink back home so she had to be there b4 7 pm. pretty much we just stood at our table (yes! we got a table) and sold stuff. and screamed out "sex" occasionally cuz jet had some questionable doujinshi's, haha. esp. this trigun one which was very kinky. so many ppl looked at it (incl. underage girls and like one guy i think, lol) but didn't buy it. same w/ my inuyasha limited edition dvd w/ eps. 1 - 9. >=P i did sell the fma wallscroll and get backers vol. 1. that was only like $13 profit. ;_; jet and bonnie made a nice amount of money though. XD bonnie sold her dmc2 dante cardboard stand-out for like $25 to a rock lee. lol. oh yeah, i was half a sakura. i had the konoha head band and pink shirt but then it was jeans after that, my sis wouldn't lemme wear her tenten costume. iono why, her stupid reason was that someone will notice that it's the same costume when she wears it some other time. it's just lame...>_>; i got kinda pissed at her for that, she also wanted me to take her to her friend's house who recently moved to like riverside or reseda or something like that. i was just like "no" besides, i was gonna be at the con, not possible whatsoever unless she wanted to be picked up at like 6 pm but had been at the friend's house since 6 or 7 am. >=P bonnie was raphael from soul calibur and jet was jj from fake. both of them went to the crossplay fashion show, that was pretty funny. though there was like a real low turnout for the audience. lol. oh well. ^^;; i thought i wasn't gonna buy anything there, but uhm...too late, lol. i bought a poster for me and one for my sis and some good marker paper for my copics. i wanted this naruto and sasuke artwork that someone drew but like the booth selling it, either made it into a clock or it was on this thick tile thingy. >.>; that discouraged me from buying it, i wish it could've been like a postcard or poster, too. ;_; oo yeah, i also bought my first doujinshi. it's called "because of u" by um...2 ppl who i dunno. XD i wish i could read it but there's like katakana and kanji in there, too. not only hiragana. >_<;; and yeah, it says 18 and up and it's um...either shounen-ai or yaoi-ey, haha. but it doesn't show anything, it just has suggestive scenes. LOL. XD
ok that about wraps it up for ani-magic. i prolly left and/or forgot some stuff. but oh well. XD
