Pan's Labyrinth
Jan. 12th, 2007 07:33 pmI went to see Pan's Labyrinth today with
silvernaofficer at The Grove. Man, that movie was somewhat depressing. =\ I expected the movie to be more fantasy than real life cuz it's set in the 40s in Spain, but it was roughly half of both. I kinda wished it was a bit more fantasy though. And now I also know why it's rated R. My god, Captain Vidal was brutal. @__@; Pan and Pale Man were awesome and needed more screen time. Well, Pan looked like he was gonna rape Ofelia by the way he talked and interacted with her. :x I think Del Toro did a really good job in keeping us on the edge of our seats. I was like nervous and excited whenever Ofelia went to do a task cuz you just didn't know what to expect at all. And the whole military vs. rebels thing was just sad, but power to the rebels! I say it's worth watching during matinee, it's better than some of other films out now. But I don't think this would be a movie I'd wanna own. I am glad I saw it though. ^^
I should work on costumes but I'm LAZY. Lalalalalaaaa~ DX
