: This was one of the first icons I made myself and I still am quite proud of it. I always am amazed at how awesome some ppl's icons are so I tried to incorporate elements they had or that I liked in this. I was also in my Loveless phase at the time. What's not to like about an anti-social kitty boy w/ issues? XD

: That's Holland (who's kinda sexy and likes to walk around his airship in nothing but his boxers) from Eureka 7, a series I never did finish watching (when do I ever finish a series I start? lol) then I found out it's like 50 some odd eps now and...I don't really wanna watch it anymore. :x This was mainly picked cuz it looked pretty and different. Its keyword is "walk the skies", just seemed like an interesting concept.

: Death Noooote. 1) Cuz even though I don't care for the series anymore, I still ♥ Raito and L. 2) Cuz you and me cosplay them chibi style! 3) I liked the opposing yet balanced composition and the tension of the scene (I'm pretty sure it was originally a screencap from the anime). Oh noes, art talk. 4) Dramatic lighting ftw!

jet monster: A mangaka whose artwork I really enjoy because it's more realistic than bishounen big-oogly eyed-ness. They're like MEN. Plus she likes Niou/Yagyuu, so more pts to her! Actually

marshall high: I liked it cuz there were less decisions to be made. Less responsibility. You were in this like gray area of not yet an adult, yet not a kid anymore and it was ok to not take full responsibility on things cuz you were still "learning". Even though there might've been more pressure to do better in school, you were still w/ a constant group of ppl you knew and could relate with unlike in college where you know like 1/16th of the entire school population and feel somewhat more on your own in a way. I also felt that I was totally more carefree back in HS than now...

rooney: They're this band that I found out through

xssparkler and

alize_rose. Rewind to like end of HS, they had recently found out about Phantom Planet (y'know the theme to The O.C.? "California"? Yeah, that's them, but the song came out before the stupid show) and thru that band, they found out about Rooney cuz the then drummer, Jason Schwartzman (he was in Rushmore)'s little bro was the lead vocals in Rooney. Their music's kinda like 80s pop and British Invasion rock. Kinda mellow, chill stuff.
