Fallen Princesses.

These works place Fairy Tale characters in modern day scenarios. In all of the images the Princess is placed in an environment that articulates her conflict. The '...happily ever after' is replaced with a realistic outcome and addresses current issues.

I've heard of it done before but she did a good job seeing it through. Though the lighting in some of them throws me off as well as the texture of the details. O_o; I can't figure out what she did...

I've heard of this concept before but this lady does it justice. I think the Snow White one is really depressing but the most realistic.

It really is interesting how Disney (among other things in the States) tries to keep the "bad" things away from kids whereas you have people who grew up reading Grimm's fairy tales instead which provide a much more dark, depressing, if not gruesome story.
